What took so long?

I had these flags available a couple of years ago. They were a big hit! But I also wanted to upgrade them when possible. They were single-sided and not recommended for outdoor use. Then the vendor I was going through jacked up their prices so high I wasn’t making any profit whatsoever. As much as I’d love to get the flag out there for free, at the end of the day this is a small business and I need to support myself. So unfortunately I had to take them down and re-think things.

For over two years I searched a new vendor. Each vendor I found either didn’t have the quality I was looking for or were far too expensive. I didn’t want to settle for lesser quality, and I certainly didn’t want to charge my customers an arm and a leg.

Finally, my search came to an end! I finally, FINALLY (Did I say finally enough?) found a vendor with a good price and the quality I was looking for.

Why pre-orders?

I am switching from a print-on-demand vendor to keeping an inventory myself. Because of this I have to order in bulk. That ain’t cheap. As I mentioned above this is a small business. A very small business. I don’t have the upfront funds to buy hundreds of flags.

Plus, I honestly don’t know what the demand for these will be. 100 flags? 1,000? 7? I want to make sure I’m purchasing the right amount for my needs and the needs of you, the customer.

But, hey, even though you have to wait a little bit I’m knocking off about $5 from the price for the inconvenience. Deal? Great!

When will they ship?

I plan on shipping these April 2023 or sooner. I want to allow plenty of time to account for any unforeseen delays. They will be delivered to customers well before June 2023 Pride month.

Wait, weren’t you donating 30% to MTUG before?

Yes, I was. At the current moment, especially with the new cost of inventory, I’m not able to contribute the same percentage to MTUG I have in the past. But I still want to give what I can to such an incredible organization. I do aim to increase this as things change.
